Green light · compact cars
Every green light. Instant go.
Your commute is stop, go, stop, go. Plug the G44 in under the wheel and your compact answers the moment you touch the pedal.
A week of commuting · told by one traffic light
From red to green light
Same car, same commute, same corner. Scroll and watch the light change.
MON · 7:42 AM
Red light. Again.
Monday, 7:42 a.m. Your commute isn't miles — it's stops. And every stop ends the same way: the light turns green, you press, and your car takes a beat to answer.
- 7:42
Red at the first corner.
- 7:47
Red. Press, wait… go.
- 7:51
Red. The car behind you honks.
- 7:58
Red. You push the pedal deeper just to keep up.
That little gap is the lag. Illustration
MON · 5:51 PM
And the pump. Again.

5:51 p.m., on the way home. Stop-and-go is the hardest mileage there is: every pull-away from zero asks a small engine to work hard, and a lazy pedal makes you press harder still.
The city number is always the lower one. That's the mileage you drive every day.
MON · 9:10 PM
Yellow: get ready.
Monday night, in the driveway. One minute, no tools — before you even take your coat off.
- 01
Find the port
It's under your steering wheel — the same port a mechanic plugs into. Every gas car and light truck sold in the U.S. since 1996 has one.
- 02
Plug it in
No app, no Bluetooth, no settings, no tools. About 60 seconds.
TUE–WED · 8 STARTS
8 starts. It learns your commute.
Drive normally: at least 8 starts (key fully off each time) and about 60 miles, or a couple of days. Many drivers feel the difference in the first 10 miles.

LEARNING≈60 MILES · 2 DAYS OF COMMUTING
A start counts when the key is fully off (or the start button is off and the dashboard goes dark). Auto start-stop at a red light doesn't count.
THU · 7:42 AM
Same light. Green. Go.
Thursday, 7:42 a.m. Same corner, same car, same foot. This time the car moves when you do.

Light's green. Press and hold.
Illustration of how drivers describe the change, not a measurement. Response depends on your car, its condition and how you drive.
THU · 5:51 PM
Your commute, retuned.
- 7:42
Same light. The car moves when you do.
- 7:58
Merging onto the boulevard with a lighter foot.
- 12:10
Lunch run. Smooth and quiet at every light.
- 5:51
The gas station on the corner. Not tonight.
A story, for illustration. Results vary by car, commute and driving style.
The car answers the moment you touch the pedal — no waiting for it to wake up.
You keep pace with traffic with a lighter foot and fewer revolutions.
Drivers describe a smoother, quieter engine and gentler shifts.
Less throttle means less fuel burned. How much depends on your car and commute.
THU · 6:20 PM
Feel it first. Then measure it.
The first thing compact drivers notice is the pull-away. Here's what they told us, in their words.
“I always felt a big delay pulling away from a stop…”
“My car pulls better, I need less throttle…”
“the car feels like it has a completely different engine…”
The honest part
“…I drive mostly in the city, which makes it hard to measure.”

He's right: in stop-and-go, traffic changes more than any chip does. If you want a real number, measure it on your own commute.
- 1
Fill up until the pump clicks
Reset your trip meter. Let the G44 finish its 8 starts first.
- 2
Drive your normal commute
Same routes, same habits, a full tank's worth.
- 3
Fill up again until it clicks
Miles ÷ gallons = your real MPG. Compare it with a tank before the G44.

Off the line, in their words
“I always felt a big delay pulling away from a stop. With the chip the car changed: it's quicker, and fuel economy improved on both ethanol and gasoline.”
“My car pulls better, I need less throttle and the fuel economy improved. It's even quieter. I'm really happy with how it drives now.”
“Thanks to the G44 the car feels like it has a completely different engine. More dynamic, better consumption and more power. Minimum spend, maximum return.”
“Unbelievable savings on my diesel S10. I also installed one on a VW truck: savings right away, and more power. I'm putting it in the whole company fleet — in just 3 months the savings pay for the chip.”
“A great device. I noticed about 10 to 12% lower consumption than I was used to, depending on the fuel I fill up with.”
“The engine got quieter, the delay when shifting disappeared, and it performs better without using more fuel — if anything, it's more economical.”
Their words, translated. Individual results vary by vehicle, condition, load and driving style.

Compact car questions
Does it work on a small 4-cylinder engine?
Yes. Engine size doesn't matter: the G44 works on gas, hybrid and diesel engines, turbocharged or not, 2008 and newer. Several of the drivers we quote drive small cars — a 2020 Honda, a VW Golf 1.6 and a Fiat Panda 1.4.
Automatic or manual — does it matter?
It works with both automatic and manual transmissions. Drivers with automatics often describe smoother shifts; with any gearbox, the first thing most people notice is a quicker answer when they press the pedal.
My car has auto start-stop. Is that a problem?
No. Start-stop cars use the same OBD-II port under the wheel, so the G44 plugs in the same way. Just remember that only full shut-offs count toward the 8 learning starts — the engine pausing at a red light doesn't.
Will I notice it in city driving?
The response, yes: most drivers notice it at the first lights, quicker off the line with less pedal. Mileage in the city is harder to pin down — traffic changes from day to day. For a fair number, fill up to the click, drive your normal commute for a tank, fill up again and divide miles by gallons. Results vary.
Do you ship to my state?
Right now we ship to Florida and Tennessee. More states are coming soon.
Will it work on my vehicle?
The G44 works on gas, diesel and hybrid engines, turbocharged or not, in vehicles that use CAN communication through the OBD-II port — in the U.S., that's 2008 and newer. It does not work on 100% electric vehicles. Some heavy trucks and farm equipment use a different 9-pin connector and need an inexpensive adapter.
Do I need an app or a mechanic?
No. There's no app, no Bluetooth and nothing to configure. You plug it into the port under the steering wheel in about a minute.
When will I notice it?
The G44 needs at least 8 starts and stops (key fully off) and around 60 miles — usually a couple of days — to learn how you drive. Many drivers notice a smoother, more responsive engine in the first 10 miles.
How much will I save?
It depends on your vehicle, its condition, the load and how you drive. In a documented controlled test, a loaded heavy truck used 11% less diesel on the same route. Drivers report anywhere from no measurable change in city driving to over 10% on the highway.
Can I move it to another vehicle?
Yes. It doesn't store anything and doesn't need reprogramming: unplug it from your car and plug it into your truck.
Will it turn on a warning light?
No. The G44 doesn't generate dashboard warning codes. If you ever unplug it, your vehicle works exactly as it did before.
What if it doesn't work for me?
Send it back and we refund your money. That's our money-back guarantee.
